Es sei bedauernswert, so liest man häufig, dass Walter Benjamins Passagen-Werk unvollendet geblieben sei. Es erschließt sich nicht als abgeschlossene, lineare Einheit und auch kein Text Benjamins scheint das Passagen-Werk in seiner Gesamtheit zu reflektieren. Von ihm selbst nie für eine Buchausgabe fertiggestellt, existiert dennoch seit 1982 eine Buchausgabe, die Benjamins Arbeit in eine Reihenfolge und Sortierung gebracht hat, die uns einen so wichtigen wie fruchtbaren Zugang zu seinem Werk...
